Description
Originally painted in 1883 “Dance in the Country” by Pierre-Auguste Renoir now sits in the Musee d’Orsay in Paris. It’s an important work from Renoir’s career for a number of reasons. Most importantly the work became a symbol of his eventual break from Impressionism. He was inspired by the works of Raphael and began experimenting with a more classical style here. Another reason the painting is historically significant is that the female dancer Aline Charigot would later become Van Gogh’s wife. With stunning beauty and a romantic backstory this oil painting reproduction of Van Gogh’s “Dance in the Country” would be a lovely addition to any home. The soft colors and classical styling easily fit in with existing decor. Frame Description: Versailles Gold Queen Frame
